Lyon: Operation Juan Iturbe

Lyon manager Bruno Génésio has asked President Aulas to sign an attacking player next month, preferably an individual who can play wide and act as a second option up top for Alexandre Lacazette.

At the top of the Les Gones shopping list is AS Roma’s Juan Iturbe, a man they attempted desperately to sign on transfer deadline day in the summer window, but could not ultimately agree a deal with the Serie A side for.

Talks between Lyon and the player’s entourage have never ceased since the summer, but three Italian sides have launched concrete approaches for the player and Lyon will face considerable competition from Atalanta, Torino and particularly Genoa who have a good relationship with AS Roma, according to our colleagues at Foot Mercato.

The 23 year old is Lyon’s priority, no matter what happens.
