According to ESPN, Premier League side Manchester United are seriously considering making an offer for PSG striker Edinson Cavani.
The report claims that Edinson Cavani’s representatives have approached the Manchester side who have a long-standing interest in the Uruguayan.
The report also states that Cavani is “extremely interested” in a move to the Red Devils.
There is no doubt that the player is unhappy at PSG, having yet to hold down the lead striker role for the French side since his arrival in 2013, overshadowed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic throughout his stint with the multiple-time Ligue 1 champions over the previous seasons.
But Cavani remains a vital part of the club’s plans for the future, with Ibrahimovic leaving at the end of the season, unless a dramatic u-turn occurs. Cavani has to wait another 6 months before the starting striker spot is his, but will he be that patient?
There is no way that Les Parisiens would even consider selling him unless they can sign another world-proven striker in the final 10 days of the January transfer window.
