Manchester United make initial contact with Zlatan Ibrahimovic

According to L’Équipe, Premier League side Manchester United have made initial contact with Zlatan Ibrahimovic over a free transfer to the club this summer.

Chelsea are also interested from the Premier League, as well as a host of Chinese and MLS sides.

The MLS side that particularly interests Zlatan is the currently being formed Miami side that David Beckham has had some involvement in.

The player has dreamt of the Premier League and wants to spend another year in Europe before heading to Miami in 2017.

From a PSG perspective, according to the report, it was not the club’s plan to keep Zlatan as they continue to work to sign players who are capable of replacing the Swede as the flagship player of the club’s project. QSI are targeting Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo extensively in order to achieve that.

As for a Ibrahimovic, his main priority is not to stay at PSG, but his agent will nevertheless sit down with Les Parisiens in the coming weeks to discuss the possibility of a one year contract extension.
