Maxwell to sign PSG contract extension

According to L’Équipe, PSG left-back Maxwell will sign a contract extension with the capital club, in a move that would definitively rule out the possibility of signing Neymar this summer, with the veteran full-back taking up the final non-EU slot in PSG’s squad.

The Brazilian will sign a one-year extension, despite seeing a citizenship request rejected on his behalf.

As a result, Unai Emery will be able to profit from the 35 year old’s immense experience and Layvin Kurzawa will spend another season fighting for a place as the starting left-back.
