According to our colleagues at L’Équipe and as revealed by Get French Football News earlier this week, talks continue between Newcastle, Swansea and Bafétimbi Gomis for a possible transfer.
The player has lost hope of playing regular football at Swansea since the arrival of Francesco Guidolin and Gomis is not against a move to North East England.
Newcastle have opened fee negotiations with Swansea for the player and are also actively engaged in contract discussions with Gomis. At the moment, Newcastle are offering the player a 2.5 year contract, but Gomis wants a 3.5 year contract.
Talks between all three parties will continue today.
