Speaking to a mixture of reporters from Sky Sports and Canal + last night, Leicester City’s midfielder N’Golo Kanté discussed his future and an incredible evening personally for himself.
“For my first at the Stade de France, I scored a goal that is good. I could not have imagined it. To score on the day of my birthday, I could not have imagined that. My teammates were giving me chat, saying that I gave myself my own birthday present. I am happy, things went well. In addition, we have won. But not everything was perfect, so I must continue to work. I am happy with my stint. This is a good group. I rubbed shoulders with great players, I learnt. It was a nice experience. It encourages me to keep doing better in my club to come back. The Euros, they are another thing, there is still time. We will see.”
On his future, Kanté was less clear.
“I will fight for Leicester this season and next season we never know and we will see. At this moment I am focused on Leicester. We have to finish well this season but I don’t mind about [being linked with] the other clubs.”
