Montpellier have confirmed the appointment of Frédéric Hantz as the club’s new manager.
Hantz returns to management for the first time since leaving SC Bastia in 2014, having spent a year in between these occasions as a television pundit.
Hantz replaces Montpellier’s previous head coaching duo of Pascal Baills and Bruno Martini, who initially stepped in to replace Rolland Courbis who departed in December, have had less than a month to express themselves as the top men.
It is unclear whether or not these individuals, who were previously the joint head coaches, will have slots in Hantz’s coaching staff.
Hantz will be presented officially to the press tomorrow after taking his first training session with his new players at the Bernard-Gasset training ground at 10:00 CET.
