Toulouse confirmed the signing of young Ivorian midfielder Ibrahim Sangaré on a three-year-deal.
The 18-year-old, who was voted the best young player for the Ivorian league with previous club AS Denguele Odienne, will be Toulouse’s third signing of the summer, joining Christophe Jullien and Jessy Pi at the club.
Sangaré has been described by many as the “new Yaya Toure”, but at Toulouse, Sangaré will have the chance to show Ligue 1 if he really is anything like his Ivorian counterpart.
“The importance is given to the ball recovery without hesitation to move it forward,” says the 18-year-old.
“I haven’t spoken with Pascal Dupraz yet but I will soon this afternoon. JD Akpa Akpro is like a big brother and will support me. I just want to add my efforts to make Toulouse a much better team.”
