AS Monaco have announced the signing of veteran Italian goalkeeper Morgan de Sanctis on a one year contract.
The 39 year old has joined on a free transfer from AS Roma and will play second fiddle to Danjiel Subasic.
De Sanctis had the following to say on his arrival:
“It is an honour to join AS Monaco, a great club in the French league. I am very motivated to help the team to reach its objectives this season.”
AS Monaco initially attempted to sign Diego Benaglio, but failed to do so when the Swiss goalkeeper made it clear that he wanted first team football.
