Brazilian central defender Dante arrived in Nice today for contract talks with the club, despite the fact that no fee has been agreed between OGC Nice and Wolfsburg for a possible transfer, according to Le Parisien.
Talks have accelerated in the last 24 hours after OGC Nice tabled a surprising financial proposal for the central defender believed to be close to the €2.5m a year net that he was demanding, which is an enormous investment by Les Aiglons if the deal comes off.
Dante is reportedly very interested in the move and the chance to work with former manager Lucien Favre.
Nice want Wolfsburg to liberate the player from his current contract, signing Dante for free but the Bundesliga side are currently not having any of it.
More undoubtedly to follow.
