Speaking exclusively to SFR Sport, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola discussed what exactly his philosophy is.
“Tell me which players I have and I will define my philosophy. It depends on my players. I try to attack, I try to attack in small places defend in big places, but the success of the coach and of his philosophy depend on the players. Not 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, those type of things. My philosophy is simple: when the opponent has the ball, I want the ball. We are going to come to pick you up. Always I believe all the football players around the world they became football players for the ball. Not for go to the gym, not for go to the mountain or go to the run or go to the I don’t know. So what I want my players involved with the ball. That is the principle number one.”
