Speaking in an interview with L’Équipe, West Ham’s new signing Sofiane Feghouli admitted that he was delighted to join the Premier League side.
Feghouli had the following to say on the London outfit:
“I had a lot of opportunities in different, big European leagues or exotic countries. But my decision was West Ham. In the career of a player, you have to have played in the Premier League. In terms of experience it can only be enriching. It is the league with the highest level. I have also had a frank discussion with manager Slaven Bilic. I felt a real interest on the club’s behalf and we quickly found an agreement.”
“The club has a fantastic project with a new stadium and 60,000 ticket holders for next season. We also might have the chance to play in the Europa League… This is a team with an exceptional spirit, the fighting spirit as the English say. They give everything each match and it is great to watch. There is quality in this squad. And this club is on the rise, with a coherent project, that recruits well and that is ambitious.”
