The Spanish Doping Agency has launched an investigation into French attacking midfielder Samir Nasri after it emerged that he had received an IV drip during the La Liga campaign. The information stemmed from the alleged hack of the player’s Twitter account last night by his girlfriend Anara who appeared to exact revenge on purported infidelities on the part of the former French international with an individual working for the company that gave Nasri the IV drip, called Drip Doctors.
El Pais reported today that an investigation had been opened into the player’s possible breach of anti-doping regulations by taking the IV drip.
A source at the origin of the investigation had the following to say to the AFP:
“When a sportsperson is in such a clinic, it is suspicious.”
Not a good 24 hours for the Manchester City man, who is currently on loan with Sevilla.
