According to our colleagues at RMC, Ligue 1 side St Étienne have reached an agreement with young Spanish defender Lucas Hernandez of Atletico Madrid concerning a possible loan until the end of the season.
However, Atleti have decided that they would prefer to loan the player to a side in La Liga so that he can gain experience playing in the Spanish first division. At the time of writing, Atleti are also in negotiations with Rayo Vallecano about a possible loan deal.
