According to L’Équipe, Swansea have rejected a €17m offer from fellow Premier League relegation strugglers Sunderland for André Ayew.
Instead, Swansea are looking for the former Marseille man to sign a contract extension with them imminently, according to the report.
Ayew, for the moment, appears disinterested in leaving the club this month, but Chelsea, Leicester and one of the Manchester clubs have all enquired about the player’s availability.
Ayew’s situation in the summer is likely to be entirely different, with Jurgen Klopp remaining a huge admirer of the player from his time at Borussia Dortmund and with Ayew declaring his love for Liverpool on multiple occasions. The Swans better enjoy André Ayew’s performances while he remains with them.
