Speaking to reporters on Saturday night after France’s 1-0 win over Bulgaria, Antoine Griezmann appeared to suggest a desire to play with Alexandre Lacazette and Kylian Mbappé again in the next fixture, rather than with Olivier Giroud.
“On Monday or Tuesday, the coach told me [that we would be playing this formation]. So I tried to do everything I could throughout the week to make sure that things wen well. On the pitch, the two players (Lacazette & Mbappé) are very easy to play with. There was no problem, we tried to make things happen. But it was not a game for attackers. I hope the coach will use this trio again.”
