French central midfielder Tiemoué Bakayoko is being courted by Bayern Munich, Juventus and the two Manchester clubs, but it is Premier League leaders Chelsea who are currently in pole position, according to L’Équipe.
Antonio Conte wants to align Bakayoko with Kanté at the heart of the Chelsea midfield next season.
The 22 year old was already courted by Chelsea as a teenager and has decided privately that he would be interested in such a move.
Bakayoko is under contract with AS Monaco until 2019, and although talks over a contract extension have been ongoing for several months now, the chance of an agreement being reached appears to be dead in the water.
Even though the Monaco board is refusing to listen to any transfer offers for any player until the end of the season, the club has decided to sell the player this summer, according to the French newspaper.
