Lyon central midfielder Corentin Tolisso is “very close” to Bayern Munich, according to L’Équipe.
Juventus, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham all made inroads in terms of trying to sign the player this summer, and the Bavarian outfit began their pursuit late, but are now very much in the driving seat.
Bayern Munich are now in official negotiations with Lyon for the player a deal could rapidly closed at €40m. The contours of a long term contract have already been etched out between the Bundesliga champions and the player.
Tolisso has always intended to leave Lyon this summer, but the failed departure of Alexandre Lacazette to Atletico Madrid has put the midfielder under the spotlight even more. “Coco” wants to be at the 2018 World Cup and believes a move away can enable him to achieve that.
Carlo Ancelotti has been personally involved in convincing the player, via the phone.
