Much speculation has surrounded one of Europe’s most coveted young attacking talents, Celtic striker Moussa Dembélé, over the course of the last week, and with good reason.
According to sources contacted by Get French Football News, Premier League side Chelsea had a £35m bid rejected by Celtic for the PSG youth product’s services early this afternoon, at around 14:00 local time.
Celtic have set an asking price at £40m for the 20 year-old striker. The question now is whether or not Chelsea will come back with an improved offer.
Moussa Dembélé’s recent Twitter post almost appears as a signal to the Blues not to.
Dembélé’s camp appears to be calm concerning the situation. Sources contacted by GFFN are insistent: “he won’t leave.”
Either way, Chelsea are attempting serious moves in the final hours of the window.
