Contrary to reports yesterday from L’Équipe that suggested that PSG’s attacking midfielder Jesé was due to join Premier League side Middlesbrough, Las Palmas President Miguel Ángel Ramírez appears increasingly confident that he will win the race for the former Real Madrid man.
Speaking to Cadena SER, Ramírez had the following to say:
“We are more optimistic than ever before. We have never been closer to signing him than we are now. It is true that Las Palmas cannot rival some of the other clubs financially, but Jesé’s desire is to come here. We have accelerated things in recent days, we are doing everything in order to reach an agreement between PSG, Las Palmas and the player. We hope that he will be able to play for the team that he wants to play for, for the coming months. His agent, Ginés Carvajal, who is doing fantastic work, will succeed in bringing him to us.”
