Lyon President Aulas accused of tapping up US female soccer player – matter brought to FIFA

The US Football Association has filed a formal complaint to FIFA against Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas, according to Sports Illustrated.

The complaint relates to a Tweet that Aulas sent to Portland Thorns player Allie Long in an attempt to convince her to sign for Lyon. The Portland club’s owner Merritt Paulson fought back at Aulas on Twitter, telling him to stop tapping up players.

Proceedings have since been taken up with FIFA, according to the report.
