Marseille intend to sign Bafétimbi Gomis permanently
Ligue 1 side Marseille intend to sign French striker Bafétimbi Gomis permanently from Swansea this summer, according to L’Équipe.
Gomis would effectively be the club’s back-up striker, with OM looking to sign a marquee forward this summer for between €30m and €40m.
Gomis’ €400k a month gross salary demands will hopefully be counteracted by Swansea asking for a very reasonable price, from the point of view of the Marseille representatives, according to the paper.
Swansea want to rid of the player and are unlikely to have high demands.
