West Ham United have received a brand new offer from Marseille worth €30m for French international Dimitri Payet, according to L’Équipe.
Will this be enough to convince the Premier League side? Not certain. West Ham were previously demanding €35m.
Marseille remain deep in negotiations to bring Payet home, contrary to reports emanating from the other side of the Channel that suggested that OM were resigned to not signing the French international this month.
Not a single Marseille representative when approached by the French media outlet said that negotiations had stopped for the moment. This is however likely to be Marseille’s final offer for Payet, and if it is not accepted, they will very likely move on.
OM have already began activating talks for other targets in the meantime.
