Championship side Middlesbrough have entered into negotiations with Ingolstadt for French defender Marcel Tisserand, according to L’Équipe.
The 24-year-old had preferred a move to St Étienne, but the German side’s €7m asking price has so far deterred Les Verts.
Tisserand has now entered into contract talks with the English side, with whom he could sign a 4-year-deal.
