Alvaro Fernández Llorente joins Monaco from Osasuna on a 3-year deal.
The highly-rated ‘keeper represented CA Osasuna as a youth. He made his senior debut with the reserves in April 2015, going on to play for 47 times for the reserves in 2 seasons. The 19-year-old made his La Liga debut last season, coming on as a second-half substitute for injured Mario Fernández in a 3-1 against Villarreal.
On Tuesday, the Principality’s club announced the arrival of Fernández Llorente on a free after his contract at Osasuna expired. “I am very happy to sign for AS Monaco, a club that has demonstrated last season all its sporting ambitions and that bases its philosophy on the trusting of the young players. I want to give the maximum to continue growing as a player and reach new levels,” said the goalkeeper.
