SM Caen have finalised a move to bring Guingamp right-back Baissama Sankoh to the club for the next three seasons.
It is believed that Caen have paid around €500,000 for the Guinea international, which includes paying off his deal at Guingamp.
Sankoh spent last term out on loan with Ligue 2 outfit Stade Brestois 29, and picked up valuable game time. He managed to get 22 competitive games under his belt before returning to his parent club, and will now aim to push on for Ligue 1 experience with Caen.
Caen’s sporting director Alain Caveglia said, “We have been following him for a very long time, for three years. He’s a very tough and smart player.”
