Ibrahima Niane has agreed to join Metz on a five-year-deal from Senegalese club Generation Foot.
The 18-year-old is the top scorer in the Senegal Championship with 13 goals this season with still three games left to play and will leave Generation Foot once their campaign is over.
Niane is also capped at Under-20 level for Senegal and even played at the U20 World Cup recently, where his country was knocked out by Mexico in the last 16. The young striker is slowly making a name for himself in his home continent and his previous coach Olivier Perrin has been raving about the striker.
“He’s a winner, he can not let it go. Niane has great qualities of power and speed and a great vivacity. He is a real striker, he hates it when he does not score.”
“With his experience, he has become accustomed to playing in warm atmospheres and in front of 20,000 to 30,000 fans. In the final of the CAN U20, it even evolved in front of 60,000 spectators.”
