Serie A side Fiorentina has announced that it has completed the signing of Monaco winger Gil Bastiao Dias on a two-year-loan deal, and will undergo his medical late Tuesday afternoon.
The 20-year-old spent the last season out on loan at Liga Nos side Rio Ave, playing 39 times and scoring eight goals and providing seven assists. Dias did, however, make his Ligue 1 debut for Monaco this past weekend in their victory over Dijon, despite being officially contracted to the club since 2014.
Dias has the ability to play on either the left or right flank and has also deputized as an attacking midfield at times during his career, but with 24 of his appearances last season being out on the wing, the Portuguese Under 20 international will likely be deployed on the wings for La Viola.
This deal from AS Monaco indicates that Rachid Ghezzal has been acquired to play on the right-wing.
