Belgian giants Anderlecht have announced that they have signed Bordeaux forward Issac Thelin on a loan until the end of the season with an option to buy at the end of the agreement.
The Sweden international will join Anderlecht after making only seven appearances in Ligue 1 this season for Bordeaux, and will be in search of more game time in Belgium.
Despite scoring two goals in his seven appearances, Thelin will likely use this loan move as a way to either gain a move elsewhere or prove Bordeaux that they were wrong to leave him out of the starting eleven on so many occasions.
Thelin joined the Ligue 1 club in January 2015, but did not make the desired impact over the course of the year he’s been at the club.
The 24-year-old made his Sweden debut in 2014 when he was still at Malmo FF, but hopefully for Thelin he can use this move as a springboard to rediscover his form in front of goal.
