Bordeaux defensive midfielder Mauro Arambarri has left the Ligue 1 club and has returned back to South America to join Uruguayan side Club Atletico Boston River.
The 21-year-old only joined Bordeaux in January of 2016, but has failed to settle in France, opting for a move back to his home country. Willy Sagnol signed the young midfielder and threw him in at the deep end, playing him against Lyon just days after his arrival.
In total, Arrambarri played 12 times for Bordeaux, failing to score under both Sagnol and Jocelyn Gourvennec and will now head back to Uruguay in search of more playing time. The club wishes him well with his future.
