Reims have completed the loan signing of Malian international Youssouf Kone from Lille.
Kone signed his first professional contract with LOSC in January 2015 and soon made his first appearance in the Mali national team, however at club level he continued to learn and develop in the reserve side. Today, the defender joins Ligue 2 side Reims in search of first team football and looks to develop even further in hopes of breaking into the Lille side next campaign.
“Before I came, I was able to talk with Stephane Dumont and Hamari Traoré. Hamari told me that there was a good environment that is perfect to work in. I spoke to the coach as well, but before I met him I knew that he was someone who loved football.”
This will be Kone’s first loan spell away from Lille and will be looking to make a huge impression both on and off the field.
