Stade Rennais have finalised a deal to sign Caen youth player Jordan Tell. The 20-year-old arrives on a three-year-deal at Roazhon Park and is likely to be considered a player for the future.
Tell made a small step up from Caen’s B team last season as he made five Ligue 1 appearances – all coming from the bench. The Frenchman operates primarily as a striker and it remains unknown whether we will see him with the Rennes first-team next term.
Tell said: “Stade Rennais is a club that suits me well and Christian Gourcuff is a talented coach. He has a mentality that I appreciate. I will be able to progress quietly and serenely. Every year, Stade Rennais proves that he is a good club of Ligue 1. I hope that it will grow even in the years to come.”
