Dimitri Cavare has joined Sky Bet Championship side Barnsley on a deal until 2019 for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old joins from Rennes and will join up with the Yorkshire side as soon as possible, following his move to the English second tier.
The right back had a disappointing season last year for Rennes, only making five appearances in Ligue 1, the Coupe de la Ligue and Coupe de France in total. Previously, Cavare had made 20 appearances in Ligue 1 for RC Lens, but relegation meant the France U-20 international had to depart the club.
Despite his lack of game time for Rennes, Cavare will be a good signing for Barnsley and Rennes wish him the best in his future.
