The Algeria international was linked with a move to the Premier League earlier in the summer but he has chosen to join Spanish outfit Real Betis in a deal worth €7m plus bonuses.
Boudebouz had an outstanding season last term, contributing nine goals and 11 assists in Ligue 1. The 27-year-old also created 117 chances, the most of any player in Europe’s top five leagues in the 2016/17 season.
Betis announced the signing on Wednesday morning with a video of Boudebouz saying his name in Spanish.
The former- Montpellier star seemed happy with his new club, going on to say, “It is a great step to reach such an iconic club, I knew a bit about the history of this club, and Aissa Mandi and Jonas Martin had already spoken to me about Real Betis. I wanted to play and to evolve in Spain. For me, it is a great step to be able to evolve in this club.”
