Ligue 1 side OGC Nice have made a series of offers for 21-year-old Belgian youth international right-back Timothy Castagne, which have so far been in vain, according to L’Équipe.
The Genk full-back has a release clause worth between €5m and €6m which Serie A side Atalanta are willing to activate, but Castagne wants to join OGC Nice.
His agent, Zénon Mélon, had the following to say on the situation:
“Nice have made offers that were adjudged to be too low in the eyes of Genk representatives. I am waiting for them to be addressed with a concrete and definitive offer, I hope the decision will be made in the coming week.”
