Former Paris, Lyon and Rennes manager Paul Le Guen has been appointed as the head coach at Turkish league side Bursaspor, according to Canal Plus. Le Guen is understood to have signed a two-year contract with an option for a further year.
The Frenchman was out of work after he left his position as the Nigeria national team’s technical director earlier this month.
Le Guen is said to have been offered to Premier League clubs Southampton and Crystal Palace, who are currently on the search for new bosses respectively, although it looks as though the financial side of things lured him to Turkey.
Bursaspor finished a somewhat disappointing 15th in the Turkish Süper Lig last term and will certainly expect Le Guen to improve on that next season.
