Serge Aurier: “If I was not mentally strong, I would have broken.”

Speaking in an interview with the African Football Federation, Ivorian international right-back and Tottenham man Serge Aurier discussed his legal situation after being convicted of assaulting a police officer.

“I had a situation with the police which was amplified for the European press. Normally, when a case goes on for a year or more, you turn the page. But in my situation, there was constant uproar. If I was not mentally strong, I would have broken. I could have stayed for one or two years more for the President Al Khelaifi who I consider to be spiritual father for me and the entire PSG team who are like family.”
