Ligue 1 side St Étienne have reached an agreement with Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg for the loan signing of 23-year-old Brazilian central midfielder Hernani on a season-long loan deal without an option to buy, according to L’Équipe.
Les Verts had been hoping to purchase the player, but Zenit refused to sell at a price that would have been realistic for Sainté, who will pay just over half of the player’s wages throughout this loan spell.
He is expected at the club’s training ground today for a medical before the deal is concluded.
