Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony spoke with Marseille Sporting Director Andoni Zubizaretta three days ago about a possible move, according to L’Équipe.
Marseille have been forced to look at other striking options with the chances of signing Olivier Giroud fading fast. The French international wants to take his time before making any decision.
AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca has become more of a Plan A than a Plan B, and Zubizaretta has already convinced him to favour a move to Marseille over offers from Besiktas and Fenerbahce.
Marseille have however not opened fee negotiations with AC Milan. OM would prefer a loan with an option to buy, but the Serie A outfit want a €20m fee. At the time of writing, Marseille have yet to bite.
