Anthony Martial’s Manchester United story goes from bad to worse

RMC reported earlier this evening that French international attacker Anthony Martial’s situation at Manchester United continues to deteriorate.

The former AS Monaco man’s current deal with the Premier League club runs out in June 2019, and he is yet to receive a formal contract extension offer from the Red Devils, and talks about a new deal are reportedly at breaking point.

The 22-year-old’s agent held a meeting with Manchester United representatives about a new deal, but nothing since.

Martial is shocked about the lack of movement on the part of Manchester United, especially considering that he has so far had an impressive season, with 11 goals and 9 assists in 37 matches. He believes he is not being given fair recognition and as a result he is considering his options.

The arrival of Alexis Sanchez has seemingly been a key factor in the cessation of contract extension negotiations, with Martial having even put on hold the purchase of a house in Manchester that he was all set to buy, such is the uncertainty of his future.

Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan remain incredibly interested in the Frenchman.
