AS Monaco are eyeing up FC Porto winger Yacine Brahimi

L’Équipe reported this morning that AS Monaco have begun their search for a replacement for the recently departed Keita Baldé, who joined Inter Milan last night in an initial loan deal.

Portuguese sources indicated that ASM’s priority in this regard is 28-year-old winger Yacine Brahimi of FC Porto.

The Algerian international was in advanced contacts with AS Roma and Sevilla earlier on during this window, but AS Monaco are now expected to make a formal bid for the player in the coming hours.

Brahimi has a €60m release clause in his current deal with Porto, but with just 1-year remaining on his contract, Monaco are confident of negotiating the Portuguese side from that clause considerably.
