Speaking in an official press release and on AS Roma’s TV channel, Sporting Director Monchi confirmed that the Serie A side was considering legal action against Ligue 1 outfit Bordeaux, who they view went back on their agreement to sell Brazilian winger Malcom in favour of accepting an offer from FC Barcelona instead.
“We are seeing what we can do on the legal side. We do not have any signed documents but we have a lot of messages with their president and his agents that deserve to be taken a look at. I am sorry for what has happened but the club its absolute best. Palotta (AS Roma President) wanted to submit a bigger offer but we pulled out when the bidding war began. We will find a player as good as Malcom, or even better than him.”
