France manager Didier Deschamps had the following to say to his players in the dressing room on Tuesday night following Les Bleus’ 1-0 victory over Belgium, according to RMC.
“You deserve this. You gave everything, I am proud of you. Now, enjoy your family time. Eat well, listen closely to Grégory Dupont (head of performance for France). The final starts here. And you will go and relax with your families (Les Bleus did so on Tuesday night & Wednesday morning before travelling back to Istra). Relax. But tomorrow, you concentrate. A World Cup, people only remember the winners. Nobody remembers the finalist.”
