FC Nantes striker Kalifa Coulibaly was arrested last Thursday for allegedly attacking his wife with a hammer

Ouest-France report that Nantes’ Malian attacker Kalifa Coulibaly was arrested by police last week Thursday relating to violence he carried out against his wife with a hammer.

These acts were committed in their private home, but neighbours called the police when they heard screaming.

Coulibaly spent the night in jail, before being bailed out by Nantes President Waldemar Kita’s son Franck, who picked the player up from the police station on Friday morning.

The victim, Coulibaly’s wife, is not pressing charges, but it is possible that the local prosecutor will take up the case on their own accord against the young forward, who arrived at the club a year ago.
