France Football report that a host of Premier League clubs are positioning themselves to make a bid for Nantes striker Emiliano Sala in the upcoming January transfer window.
Fulham, West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Southampton are all expected to make approaches, according to the magazine.
Sala is under contract with Les Canaris until 2020, but whether or not there is the possibility of an extension remains unclear. Nantes will be seeking a considerable fee, because half of it is due to Bordeaux as a result of a 50% sell-on fee in a previous transfer agreement.
Cardiff are however currently in pole position in terms of who has registered the greatest seriousness in signing the Argentinian forward, with Neil Warnock having personally travelled to France to watch Sala recently and having held informal talks for the player already.
