Half of this weekend’s Ligue 1 fixtures called off ahead of anticipated Gilets Jaunes rioting

The LFP have confirmed that at least 5 of this weekend’s scheduled Ligue 1 games are off until a yet to be determined later date owing to anticipated riot action by the “Gilets Jaunes” protest group.

Police resources are having to be directed away from football as a result of these ongoing acts of civil disobedience.

The 5 matches confirmed off for this weekend are as follows:

Dijon vs PSG, Amiens vs Angers, Nantes vs Montpellier, Guingamp vs Rennes & Marseille vs Bordeaux.

Caen vs Toulouse has been rescheduled to a Tuesday kick-off.

Reims vs Strasbourg & Nîmes vs Lille are still scheduled to take place at the pre-agreed time, with Nice vs St Étienne and Monaco vs Lyon moved to Sunday.
