Speaking to Nice-Matin, France captain Hugo Lloris sought to correct the memory of Belgian players who lamented France’s supposedly negative approach to the World Cup semi-final on Tuesday.
“They also defended very deep. They had very fast player and to defend well, you need to defend deep. There was a game plan and we respected that. In football, there is not only one way to play, I am well placed to know that playing for a team like Tottenham that is very attacking. The only thing that is definitive is the result.”
