Karl Toko Ekambi wants European football

The race for Angers SCO forward Karl Toko Ekambi continues to hot up, with at least three sides having already submitted offers to the Ligue 1 side, according to L’Équipe.

One of these offers is worth slightly more than €20m, the newspaper claims.

Hoffenheim is one of the club’s to have made a bid; Marseille are also doubling up their efforts to convince the player’s entourage of a move, but Toko Ekambi wants to wait to see whether or not OM will be playing Champions League or Europa League football next season.

Villarreal already made a €16m bid earlier this week.

Toko Ekambi’s desire to play in Europe next season is likely to count enormously against smaller Premier League sides and Chinese interest.
