Speaking to RMC Sport, former Caen central defender Alaeddine Yahia discussed N’Golo Kanté and how he has never seen the French international annoyed.
“He would beat me, playing FIFA he would beat me. When we played MarioKart, on the Wii, we would be 6 or 7 of us, and the two that were last would be kicked out, because there are only 4 spaces on the screen to play MarioKart. I am 2nd in one game, and if you finish 2nd, you stay on, then he sends me a shell, I know that it is him, and I finish 4th. I wanted to insult him, but I couldn’t. If it was anyone else, I would’ve insulted them, but you can’t with N’Golo. He was laughing, and I have never understood why, but when he laughs, tears always roll down his cheeks.”
“I have never seen him annoyed, ever. There was one time at the Parc des Princes, (Patrice) Garande (SM Caen manager) went in on him, saying why aren’t you moving, there were a lot of people around, he kept going at him, but he didn’t flinch. He looked normal, calm, most other players at some point would’ve snapped back and said at one point ok stop. Not N’Golo.”
