Official | Jonathan Cafu joins Red Star Belgrade on loan with a €4m option from Bordeaux

Red Star Belgrade have completed the signng of Brazilian winger Jonathan Cafu.

The 27-year-old moves to the Serbian giants on a loan deal with an option to buy for €4m.

Cafu leaves Bordeaux after one year with Les Girondins, in a campaign that has seen the Brazilian struggle for consistent first-team football under managers Jocelyn Gourvennec and Gustavo Poyet last season, scoring 2 goals in 20 appearances.

The Brazilian had a particularly prolific period at Bulgarian side Ludogorets, where he made a particular impression in the 2016/17 Champions League campaign, notably mustering a goal and an assist against Arsenal to give the Bulgarians a 2-0 lead in a game they went on to lose 3-2.
